The tour

Total 1140 miles, 72 per day average, 24th April - 10th May 2015.  16 days' cycling plus a day at either end for transport.

What's different

Great food and accommodation.  In some locations a single room may not be available and so if you are single you may need to share with a 'room buddy'.   A two course dinner each night staying in some lovely hotels - with a few surprises thrown in!  An early big-breakfast as well, to set you up for the day.

The Route.  No need for A-roads or racing! Quiet lanes, by-ways and tracks at least 50% of which are traffic-free running through some of England's finest countryside with plenty of rest stops to take in places of interest.  It’s a longer route than most offer because of this, but sooo much nicer.  This route has been extensively researched by David Piper, one of the country's most experienced cycle tourists.

Transport.  We'll collect you on the way to Scotland, all you have to do is get to the A30, M5, M6, M74 or A9.  We can drop you off at Penzance & Exeter railway stations as well as Newquay and Exeter airports afterwards too.  We can even sort your homeward bound travel arrangements (at your expense).

FULLY supported.  The minibus will never be more than a couple of hours away and we re-group approximately every 10 miles so no-one gets left behind.  You can even take days off and ride the bus as so long as you pedal at least 875 miles you'll have ridden the end-to-end mileage.  You will also be accompanied by a highly experienced rider to show you the way, give guidance on history, geography and wildlife, and to fix minor repairs (punctures, cables, chains etc).  If you have a major mechanical failure we will drive you to the nearest bike shop but the repair will then of course be at your own expense.

Email hotline.  We are just an email away for any training, bike, kit or related questions and advice.

Training Programme.  This isn't a race and it isn't a ride for macho-men but it's still a long way and the better prepared you are the more you'll enjoy it.  We'll send you a twice monthly training guide to get you on track.  We believe that if you can ride 25 miles non-stop 6 months before we go, then with preparation and determination you can complete the End-to-End!

Laundry.  Bike touring can be mucky so we've arranged with our hotels to get your kit washed and dried a couple of times per week.  You might want to label your clothes and don’t risk putting anything delicate or with runny colours in as it will all be going in together!

Massage.  Yes, those weary limbs will even benefit from up to three massages each from Norma our fully qualified sports therapist and nurse.

The group.  We've gone for a very compact group of just 10 riders, so you're bound to make some like-minded new friends.  The lovely Norma will be our driver, sports therapist and first aider / nurse, whilst David will actually cycle along with you to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
